Roadie Rides
Hey Girls,

I know a few of us have roadbikes (Harriet, Merrin, also think I saw Karina descending Highcliff Road today) so I was thinking of organising a few bunch rides. Nothing too intense, not a cracking pace or extreme distance, personally I don't know roadie etiquette so it's just a chance for a group of us to get out on a ride.. Maybe try some roadie tricks!

First ride tomorrow around 12:30pm. We are meeting outside St Davids lecture theatre (where the big Otago Uni statue is on One Way Nth). Proposed route is up North Road and Mt Cargill out to Seacliff.

Email me on emma.johnston@gmail.com or txt 027 452 1100 with any questions or if you think you might want to come along.

Re: Roadie Rides
Hey Team.

Weather was a bit indecisive yesterday...very chilly then surprisingly warm! Ruby and I went out for a ride over Mt Cargill Road, dropped into Waitati, went a little bit up towards Seacliff and stopped for a coffee on the way back before climbing back up Mt Cargill Rd.

Casual as ride - bit of a mountain biker's take on Cycling Otago's coffee rides. Was around 2.5hr ride time - nice easy pace.

Next ride for the weekend will be posted on Friday. Thinking of doing a Peninsula ride or even a Brighton + extension.

Come along and talk some roadie out of us!

Re: Roadie Rides
Hey Girls,

Next ride this Saturday the 14th 1pm. We are meeting outside Bike Otago on Great King St.

Proposed route is Brighton/Taeri Mouth or Portobello/Tairoa Heads, distance and route depending on weather and winds. Eg we want a tailwind back because we don't have Lance Legs!

As usual, taking it as easy or as hard as the group dictates. Be sure to bring adequate clothes, a couple of bottles and some munchies/ cash.

Email me on emma.johnston@gmail.com or txt 027 452 1100 with any questions or if you think you might want to come along, do we don't blast off at 1pm exactly..

Feel free to invite others!

I will post up here Saturday am if the weather looks angry.
