Last weekend we did some work on the area where we're going to put the carpark (just above the track). Tim finished off cutting down the gorse which was taken away the following week by Taskforce Green.
We removed the fence along the edge of the road as it will have to come out when we level the carpark. Lindsey rolled up most of the wire while Mat and Alan pulled the posts out of the ground (by hand!).
The corner post on the boundary fence didn't have a strainer post so Mat set about putting one in. Here's Mat using sheer manpower to straighten the post.
Last Saturday we had an open day at Wakari Creek. It was a great success with around 60 people turning up. Lots of people that hadn't been to the track before, and lots of parents and young kids.
