Otago Mountain Bikers --- Social Riders
Access has been granted for mountain bikers to ride the Otekaieke Bridle Track. The ride will start at 10am near Campbell Park Estate off the Duntroon-Kurow Rd. The track follows the Otekaieke river for 16kms on an undulating 4WD track including several fords until it meets up with the Danseys Pass Rd 3kms from the top. The ride is suitable for all abilities.
Directions to start: 10km west of Duntroon on SH83, turn on to Special School Road. Meet 5km up Special School Rd at the Eastern Rd intersection. Carpooling from Dunedin - meet on Bank St at the Gardens (opposite Pet Doctors) at 7.45am on Saturday morning. If you’re not doing the Otekaieke ride, Saturday’s town ride starts at 1.00pm from the corner of Albany and Hyde Sts, North Dunedin.
